Update: April 3rd, 2020: Continuation of Suspension of Services

Greetings,
I hope all is well with you and your family during this time. I sincerely miss every one of you, and greatly anticipate the day we can all worship together in person. There are a few housekeeping items I wanted to address with regard to COVID-19 and the MISSION.

For those keeping up with the news, President Trump has extended the social distancing guidelines until the end of April. In a previous communication released on March 19, 2020 I stated: “in compliance with the Governor of Kentucky, all in-person services and activities at the MISSION Church of God will be suspended for fifteen (15) days (subject to change).” Now that the fifteen days has lapsed, I am extending the suspension of all in-person services and activities, in accordance with the President of the United States. I will inform you of the next steps we will be taking at the conclusion of April.

We will continue to the live stream all of our services. You can watch live on www.misisoncog.com/media or our YouTube channel. We will also share the links to those services on our Facebook page. The Youth Ministry team is working diligently to produce content on a regular basis. You can follow them on their Facebook page: Mission Student Ministries.

During the recording of our services, we can have no more than ten (10) people in the building. Only designated members of the ministry team need to attend the recording of the services. I appreciate your understanding and cooperation with this request.

As always, you can visit www.missioncog.com/online-giving to make a donation to the church. We are also allowing for you to drop off your tithes and offerings starting 45 minutes prior to the beginning of any church service. I am asking, if you choose this option, to remain in your vehicle. A member of the ministry team will be out to assist you upon your arrival.

Again, I miss you all greatly. The ministry team and I pray for your continued good health and look forward to worshipping in-person with you soon.

We will continue to inform you on our website (www.missioncog.com/covid-19) and our Facebook page when we have new updates pertaining to COVID-19.

Blessings,
Wayne Guilliams
Pastor of the MISSION Church of God

Update: March 20th, 2020: Suspension of Services

Greetings,
In light of recent events surrounding COVID-19 (commonly referred to as Corona Virus), it has become necessary to continually address the congregation on the steps the MISSION will be taking in response to this global pandemic. I had mentioned in a previous message that the ministry team would meet Saturday to determine a course of action. Things have now changed.

On March 19, 2020 the Governor of Kentucky, in his daily update for COVID-19, clarified an earlier order stating “all gatherings where people come together are closed.” In his clarification, he extended the order to houses of worship. Our Administrative Bishop for the Church of God in Kentucky, Charles Fischer, has advised Pastors to comply with this mandate.

Our policy has always been one of consistency in that we keep our doors open for our regularly scheduled services. Please know this is a difficult mandate to follow. I, as your Pastor, do feel this is the right call in assuring the safety and good health of our members and attendees. Effective March 20, 2020: in compliance with the Governor of Kentucky, all in-person services and activities at the MISSION Church of God will be suspended for fifteen (15) days (subject to change). The Ministry team will still meet this coming Saturday to work out the details following the order.

This does not mean we will not be conducting church services; we will be broadcasting live at our normal times. We ask that only specific members of our ministry team are present during the time of the recording. You can watch us live on our website at www.missioncog.com/media, or our YouTube Channel.

We still have a parking lot to pave, and monthly bills that need to be paid. Please do not stop giving. You can visit www.missioncog.com/online-giving to make a donation to the church.

Again, this is a difficult mandate to follow. We will persevere. I pray for your continued good health and look forward to worshipping in-person with you soon.

We will continue to inform you on our website (www.missioncog.com/covid-19) and our Facebook page when we have new updates surrounding this extraordinary occurrence.

Blessings,
Wayne Guilliams

Update: March 19th, 2020

Greetings,

We are all well aware of the events surrounding not just our local area but the world. This message is being sent out to all members of the congregation to let them know the steps the MISSION will be taking in response to COVID-19 (commonly known as the Corona Virus). Our Administrative Bishop for the Church of God in Kentucky, Charles Fischer, has advised all Pastors to suspend all church events for 15 days in an effort to “flatten the curve. “

That being said; we will still be holding our regularly scheduled service this evening, March 19th at 7:00 PM. The Church ministry team will meet this coming Saturday to discuss our options, and potential alternatives to in-person worship services. Once our decision is reached, we will be sending out a memorandum with details on upcoming church activity.

This is not an issue to be taken likely. Reports are suggesting that now a second person in Northern Kentucky has become infected with COVID-19. We understand if you stay home this evening. You can always watch us live on our website at www.missioncog.com/media or our YouTube channel. If you plan on attending this evening, we ask that you practice good hygiene and common-sense safety measures.

We will get through this. We will have a final decision on Saturday to report back to you, the congregation.

Until tonight.

Blessings,

NOTICIA IMPORTANTE
